Foreman Freak Night

Where do I begin?! My dear friend Hadley, I have taken down with me. When I started this crazy adventure, countdown to Halloween, I couldn't go down by myself, so I took my friend Hadley with me! She so graciously hosted a FABULOUS Halloween playdate for not only my children but another friend's as well. There was a total of 7 BOYS!!! We made a wormy dinner with a dirt worm dessert...YUMMMMM....

She started with an adorable table decor.
Complete with blinking bracelets, tattoos and finger puppets!
Did I fail to mention the place card savers? The mini pumpkins!!
 Here was dinner....wormy dogs!!
 It was a hit!
 Cupcakes, of course!
Here is our crew, and we did a walk down to a spooky house....
Seriously these people do it up!
 It was a HUGE hit!
The making of our dirty worm dessert...
Crushing the Oreos was by far the best part!
And the night ended with a bed time Halloween story.

Krispy Scream

It came to my attention, from my mentor, that Krispy Kreme donuts makes Halloween donuts! WHO KNEW?! Down here in Miami we have ONE Krispy Kreme store and it is FAR! I called ahead to make sure our location had them. When they said yes I anxiously drove down there, (getting crazy looks from my husband) with my 5mo. old son in tow, pulled in to the drive through, placed my order only to hear, "Sorry ma'am the car in front of you just bought the last pumpkin donuts." WHAT??!!! You can imagine my disappointment! To their credit they were very sweet and gave me a discount for the spiderweb donuts and orange/black sprinkled donuts.

When the boys woke up this morning I had their little table all decked out and they enjoyed watching Team Ombi Zoombie Halloween special while eating the special Boo Breakfast!

Halloween goes Literature

Every night I read to my boys. (Well at least the nights that I am able to get home in time to feed them, bath them, all by myself, and take care of a baby on top of that! Btw, did I mention I work full time?!) Any-who, I keep seasonal books at the top of their closet and pull them down during the holiday. In case you have been living under a rock, it's Halloween people, so here are a few of our favs...

And for my precious Duke.....

Happy reading y'all!

Halloween Movie Picks

One day after school I actually got my boys to sit down and watch a movie! The only reason why they would is because they knew Scooby-Doo was for "big kids" and they wanted to be "cool." It was still a little scary for my taste, but the boys seemed to love it. (Had I planned it right I would have bought the Mc Donald Happy Meals with it this night since they have Scooby-Doo Halloween, but I did it backwards! Maybe you can learn from my mistake:))

U-Verse on demand has 3 different Scooby-Doo Halloween movies to choose from, but my boys chose this one. U-Verse actually has a category right now called "Halloween for Kids." It's great! Later this week we are going to watch.....

CrAzy cRafTy pLayDAtE

Last Saturday I had the BRILLIANT idea that after working all week I should have a playdate with 7 kids! Yes, I actually thought of this on my own. The kids had a blast and I got to try out some of my wanna be crafts. It turns out they were quite a hit! We had mummy pretzels, mummy dogs, monster cupcakes and LOTS of play time!

Mummy pretzels.....

The whole mummylicious snack!

The mummy dawg!

Enjoying our Halloween snack...costumes and all!

Monster cupcakes made by Chef Mikel!

Of course the only girl's cupcake was the best monster!

Pizza-Boo & Waffle-Boo

Along the way of me becoming more crafty I found that I am a fan of the ghost, and so are my boys! I have a ghost shaped cookie cutter (thanks to the most amazing mother-in-law) which makes it easy to cut foods into ghosts. I have discovered not just sandwiches but cheese and waffles too!

I used Philsbury pizza dough, Prego's marina sauce, mozzarella cheese, and turkey pepperoni.
Whole foods frozen waffles cut with kitchen scissors and drawn on with food safe markers! (You can get them at Amazon)

Happy Meal Halloween

So an easy and BIG crowd pleaser is the Halloween Happy Meal! Yeah!!! Today we went after Ben's soccer game, his team won, (YAYAY! and Ben's BIG kick to another player and "blocking it from going out of bounds" is the reason we won, according to this mother)  so this mommy treated her boys to a Mc Donald's trip. Low and behold the infamous Halloween Happy Meals were out! They are Scooby-Doo which was perfect since we watched the Halloween Scooby-Doo Boo Brothers on Monday. It was a quick and easy way to keep the countdown going!

Yup! A WINNER!

Whoopie Pies....from a box

We spent the weekend in Palm Beach, Florida, not really Halloween festive, but we enjoyed quality family time! When we got back there was no wasting time, we dove right in and made Whoopie! Well, whoopie pies anyway. Heehee. As crafty as I am sometimes it's not necessary to reinvent the wheel, my friend Hadley found a kit at Target so here is the Forbes version of Whoopie Pies!

The magical box
Then divide for each child
Getting excited!
Making the whoopie!
