Saturdays forever.....

Now I have to say no one is more excited than I am to have her Saturdays filled with watching her kids play sports, but last Saturday it hit me....I have 3 BOYS! These are my Saturdays for the next 18 years! Gone are the lazy Saturdays where I can cuddle in my bed and watch mindless TV, but at least I have finally fulfilled my dream of being a sports mom, so for me it's a blessing! Here are a few pix from Ben's first game. Even though they didn't declare a "winner" Ben was all too well aware that his team lost.

Forbes Boys do Baseball

Apparently I don't have enough to do, so I took it upon myself to become the GM for the SMYBL Ranger baseball team. (aka Sam's mom is crazy and wants to control his team.) Since I was the one who got the team together, and I am from Texas, we went with the RANGERS!!! If ever you want to wake up early on a Saturday morning to watch 14 3 year olds try and play baseball then by all means come and join us!!! Truthfully, it was so much fun! I am beyond thrilled that my boys have found a sport that they like and if that means that for the next 13 Saturdays I am cheering on the Rangers at 9am and the Giants at 3:30pm then I am one happy momma!

 Batter up!

He's not the fastest runner...but he thinks he is!

His daddy, aka my hubs, is an assistant coach. How cute are they?!

 These are Sam's best buds.

I mean the MLB Rangers are NOT this cute!

 After game pep talk.

Baby Jesus

I know it has been a while, but to say the Forbes family has been busy would be an understatement. 3 years ago our second son, Sam, was asked to be Baby Jesus in the live nativity scene at our church. Fast forward to present day and our new parish asked if Duke would be Baby Jesus in their Christmas Eve service. Well of course we jumped at the opportunity! 2 out of our 3 boys have been Jesus, how many people can say that?

Baby Jesus 2009. (I forgot to mention Andy and I were asked to be Mary and Joesph.)

Baby Jesus 2012, and Mary. (one of my former students)

During the Christmas Eve service all of the children are asked to participate in the program. My boys chose to be shepherds.

Mary, Joesph and Baby Jesus.

He was that perfect the whole service, no lie.

The shepherds..

The kings brought their gifts.

The whole nativity scene.

The whole service was amazing. Alas, I will have no more Baby Jesus to offer to the Christmas Eve service, but my children will always be a part of this beautiful tradition.
